I made a power point presentation on the Coco Chanel perfume advert. I showed who the advert was aimed at and what age range it was for. I also said what i found in the magazine advert in the Vogue magazine.

Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle

Chanel Coco Purfume.

Keira Knightly is stared in this advert which makes viewers want to watch the advert to see what its about, Keira is a big celebrity so people will want to buy the product she is using in the advert which is Purfume. Advertising through videos on tv is a big way of showing the world a companys new up to date product. Tv is the highest use of media.

Framing and Angle analysis

We looked at this picture in class and analysed it as best we could.
The shot is taken at a low camera angle, this angle is mostly showing just the walls which disorientates the audience. The height of the figure inspirers fear and tension to the audience. The figure is now the main importance of the shot.
I think the parts of the photo which are empathised by this framing are the Gun in the man's hand and the tilt in the man's head shows he is being observant and his eyes show worry.
The Strongest shape in the image is the mans body and it follows a diaganol line within the frame following the coving and picture on the wall. It compares well because they are both going the same way so the picture flows better.
The geometric shapes within this image are tirangles.

What is Genre?

The word Genre is French for 'kind' or 'type'.
If a group of media texts had a similar structure or pattern of elements then this might be a link to Genre.

When looking at a magazine say, Mens health, normally there would be a theme such as bold masculine colours such as Red, black and would also have a main picture of a Male on the front cover suggesting that the Genre of this magazine is for males.

Genres are often broken down into groups called Sub-Genres. For example, a type of film genre is Romance. This could be put into Sub-Genres such as historical romance, contempory romance, teen romance, fantasy romance and romantic suspense.

Mock up of a magazine cover.

This is my first attempt of desinging the front page of a magazine. I used the typical conventions of a simple magazine such as a mast head, bar code and cover lines. The colour scheme is contrasting on the whole page using pink and purple and a picture of a mother and baby suggestings the magazine genre is for females.
